Vinitaly is an annual venue for the presentation of the latest in the wine world. Tenuta Pertinello has participated with a stand at the Fair in Verona for the last ten years. The Mancini family also presented their latest product at this meeting of international names.
The 2015 event saw the absolute premier of the Pinot Nero of Pertinello, the first company in Romagna to submit a pure product of this kind. The pinot noir wine project took its first steps in 2009 when the pinot vines were planted in the hills of the estate. The pinot noir is a particularly difficult grape variety to grow, and also to make wine from. A challenge which excited the passions of the professionals at Tenuta Pertinello.
2012 saw the first vintage useful for the production of wine, and the one presented at Vinitaly this year and has been marketed since 1 April 2015. The Pinot Nero production is currently at 1,500 bottles, a number that – if the market responds as expected – is likely to grow over the years. Pertinello believes so much in this innovative project that they have decided to plant further pinot noir vines. The decision to create this product was intuitive, and the micro-climate of Pertinello has proven to be the ideal environment.
